Synergetic effect of aramid nanofiber?graphene oxide hybrid filler on the properties of rubber compounds for tire tread application

The properties of rubber compounds used in tire tread largely contribute to the overall performance tires vehicles. Among various ingredients used, reinforcing fillers are known for having most significant effect on static and dynamic compounds. In this work, two strong nanoscale materials, aramid nanofibers (ANFs) graphene oxides (GOs), modified using a silane coupling agent combined form novel hybrid filler. functionalized ANF/GO (fANF/GO) filler is obtained by adding GOs (fGOs) into ANFs (fANFs). fANF/GO reinforced then fabricated tested investigate mechanical properties. prepared exhibit improved abrasion resistance compared only fANF or fGO alone reference Moreover, analysis reveals 21.8% decrease rolling samples while preserving wet grip performance. Thus, research demonstrates potential GOs-based application high-performance treads.
